Castlevania: The New Generation is a classic action-platformer released by Konami for the Sega Mega Drive in 1994. It is the European and Australian title for the game known in North America as Castlevania: Bloodlines and in Japan as Vampire Killer.

Game Overview

Set in 1917, the story takes place against the backdrop of World War I. A vampire named Elizabeth Bartley—the niece of Count Dracula—seeks to revive her uncle by orchestrating a global sacrificial war.

Two Playable Heroes: Unlike many predecessors, you can choose between two distinct protagonists with different weapons and playstyles:

·        John Morris: Armed with the legendary Vampire Killer whip, he plays similarly to classic Belmont hunters.

·        Eric Lecarde: Wields the Alucard Spear, offering a longer reach and a unique "super-jump" ability for vertical exploration.

·        European Tour: Rather than staying within a single castle, the game's six stages span across Europe, including Romania, Greece (Atlantis Shrine), Italy (Leaning Tower of Pisa), Germany (Munitions Factory), France (Versailles), and England.

·        Visual and Technical Feats: Developed late in the console's life cycle, it pushes the Sega hardware with impressive effects like water reflections and rotating sprites that were highly praised by reviewers.
