Gameboy Advance non oem reproduction Demi Kids Dark Version video game cartridge. Game cartridge comes with a plastic protective case.

DemiKids: Dark Version (originally released in Japan as Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Children - Book of Dark) is a 2003 monster-battling RPG developed by Multimedia Intelligence Transfer and published by Atlus for the Game Boy Advance. It is part of the kid-friendly Devil Children spin-off branch of the historically mature Shin Megami Tensei franchise.

The "Pokémon" of Shin Megami Tensei

Released alongside DemiKids: Light Version, this dual-release strategy was Atlus's direct answer to the massive success of Nintendo's Pokémon and Capcom's Mega Man Battle Network.

  • The Core Loop: Instead of catching pocket monsters, players recruit, train, and fuse mythological demons.
  • The Narrative Split: While Light Version follows a boy named Jin saving the land of Valhalla, Dark Version follows his classmate Akira, who uses a smartphone-like "Demiloc" device to journey into the darker, more desolate world of Dem to find Lucifer.
  • Key Game Features
  • Darker Tone & Higher Difficulty: True to its name, the Dark Version features a slightly more somber atmosphere, a more cynical cast of companion characters, and noticeably harder gameplay with tighter resource management (less money and items) than the Light Version.
  • Demon Fusion: A hallmark of the Shin Megami Tensei series, allowing players to combine two allied demons to create an entirely new, more powerful entity.
  • 1st-Person Combat: Exploration happens in a standard top-down 2D pixel-art style, but combat shifts to a traditional first-person turn-based battle screen.
  • Version Exclusives: The game features demons exclusive to the Dark version that could only be transferred to the Light Version via a physical GBA Link Cable.
