Kirby: Canvas Curse is famous for its innovative control scheme that relies entirely on the DS stylus and touch screen rather than traditional buttons.

Story & Premise

An evil witch named Drawcia transforms Dream Land into a world of paint and turns Kirby into a limbless, helpless ball. To defeat her, Kirby uses a Magical Paintbrush (represented by the player's stylus) to navigate through eight abstract, paint-themed worlds. 

Key Gameplay Features

• Rainbow Paths: You draw ink lines on the screen for Kirby to roll along, allowing him to climb, cross pits, and block hazards like lasers.
• Touch Controls: Tapping Kirby makes him dash, while tapping enemies stuns them so Kirby can bowl them over.
• Copy Abilities: Kirby can still gain powers by defeating certain enemies. There are 11 abilities total, including Wheel, Fire, Stone, and Missile.
• Unlockable Characters: Players can eventually unlock and play as other characters like Waddle Dee, King Dedede, and Meta Knight, each with distinct stats. 

Game Modes

• Story Mode: The main adventure spanning seven levels (plus a final world), each ending with a mini-game-based boss battle.
• Rainbow Run: A challenge mode where you replay levels with specific goals, such as finishing as fast as possible (Time Trial) or using the least amount of ink (Line Trial).
• Medal Swap: Players collect hidden medals to unlock new features, such as additional characters, sound tests, and different paint colors.
