LEGO Piratas del Caribe: El Videojuego estará ambientado en el mundo de la exitosa franquicia cinematográfica, incorporando argumentos, ubicaciones y personajes de las tres primeras películas ("Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl", "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" y "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End"), así como de la próxima cuarta película, "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides".
