Advance Wars Dual Strike is a turn-based strategy game for the Nintendo DS, developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo in 2005. As the third installment in the Advance Wars series, it follows the conflict in Omega Land where the Allied Nations must defend against a renewed invasion by the Black Hole Army. 

Key Features

• Dual-Screen Battles: Many missions utilize both screens of the DS. While the main battle typically occurs on the bottom touch screen, the top screen can display vital intel or a second front where a secondary battle occurs simultaneously.
• Tag-Team System: You can select two Commanding Officers (COs) to lead a single army, allowing you to switch between them to adapt your strategy.
• Dual Strike (Tag Power): When both COs' power meters are full, you can activate a "Dual Strike," allowing both to use their Super CO powers consecutively and granting you two turns in a row.
• CO Leveling & Skills: COs now earn experience points and level up, allowing you to equip passive skills that boost unit stats like attack, defense, or vision.
• New Units: Seven new units were added, including the Megatank (extremely powerful but slow), the Stealth Fighter (can become invisible), and the Black Boat (repairs and resupplies units). 

Game Modes

• Campaign: The primary story mode featuring 28 missions focused on defeating the Black Hole Army.
• War Room: A collection of challenge maps against AI opponents for earning high scores and EXP.
• Survival Mode: A gauntlet where you must complete maps under strict limitations like limited funds, turns, or time.
• Combat Mode: A unique real-time action mode where you control a single unit with the stylus to capture the enemy HQ or destroy all foes.
• Map Editor: An enhanced editor that uses the stylus to draw custom maps, which can then be shared wirelessly with friends.
