Set during the final days of the Spanish Civil War, the film follows 12-year-old Carlos as he arrives at a remote orphanage for children of left-wing families while General Franco’s fascist forces close in on victory. Shortly after arriving, Carlos discovers that the orphanage is haunted by Santi, a dead boy who stalks its dark hallways and seeks revenge for the tragedy that ended his life.
