5 Retro Games That Need a Modern Remake

There are a lot of classic video games that deserve to be remade for today's generation of gamers. There are some retro games that we would love to see get a modern remake. Some of these games are classics, and others were simply ahead of their time. Here are 5 retro games that we think would be perfect candidates!

Jet Moto

The Jet Moto series made its debut on the original PlayStation in 1995. It was a popular racing game that featured jet-powered motorcycles. The franchise spawned three mainline games and one spin-off before fizzling out. The first game in the franchise, Jet Moto, was released in 1996 and featured 16 race tracks set across different environments. 1997's Jet Moto 2 added 8 more tracks and introduced a new stunt system. Lastly, 1998's Jet Moto 3 increased the number of tracks to 24 and featured an improved physics engine. While the franchise was ultimately unable to continue, it left behind a legacy as one of its generation's most innovative racing games.

SOLAR would have been the first Jet Moto title to appear on the PS2. The series' popularity would wane in the new millennium. In late 2000 and early 2001, rumors of a new game in development surfaced on various gaming websites; however, no further details ever emerged, and no such game was ever released. Since 2001 no new games have been released in the series. Despite this, the three main games remain popular among gamers and are considered classics of the PlayStation era. 

A remake would not only be a great way to introduce the franchise to a new audience, but it would also be a perfect opportunity to update the game with modern graphics and gameplay mechanics. With so much potential, it's time for a Jet Moto remake.

F-Zero

The last F-Zero game was released all the way back in 2004 for GameCube. The game, F-Zero GX, was developed by Amusement Vision and published by Nintendo. It received critical acclaim upon release, with critics praising the game's graphics, soundtrack, and gameplay. However, despite its positive reception, the game failed to sell well, and no new F-Zero games have been released since.

There are many reasons why Nintendo may have chosen to focus on other projects in recent years, but there are also several factors that could make a new F-Zero game a challenge to develop.
