Atari 2600 "Promotional Use Only" Console (Atari 2600)
The Atari 2600, initially branded as the Atari Video Computer System (Atari VCS) from its release until November 1982, is a home video game console developed and produced by Atari, Inc. Released in September 1977, it popularized microprocessor-based hardware and games stored on swappable ROM cartridges, a format first used with the Fairchild Channel F in 1976.

- Had differences from the other Atari 2600s, including: chrome switches, and tweaked colors on the words on top of the switches and the outline.
- Had "Not for resale for promotional use only" engraved on the bottom of the console.
Promotional Use Only CIB Atari 2600 Console (NFR) Atari 1981 USA. It's widely accepted that these promotional units originated from consumer consoles that were refurbished by Atari and were then packaged and distributed to stores and used as demo units at events.
