The OREI HDA-927 audio extractor allows you to extract full HDMI audio from any HDMI source signal and pass through 4K or HDR the video to a compatible display/TV and output HDMI Audio to AV Receiver with HDMI input.

You can also use this to split your audio & video in its full resolution to your display and home theater receiver with HDMI outputs including ARC/eARC support. Designed to meet the latest HDMI 2.0 standards with HDCP 2.3 compliance.

HDA-927 supports video resolutions up to 4K@60Hz YUV 4:4:4 with HDR and CEC bypass.

SWITCHES

EDID: The EDID switch is used to select EDID settings. Switch to “OUT1” / “OUT2” position, HDA-927 will copy the corresponding EDID from the device connected to OUT1 / OUT2 port. If the copy fails, it will use the internal EDID of the default 1080p 2Ch.
eARC/ARC: The eARC/ARC switch is used to turn ON/OFF the eARC function. Switch to “ON” position, the AUDIO OUT2 port will output the eARC/ARC audio, Switch to “OFF” position, the AUDIO OUT2 port will output the audio from HDMI IN port

No, in order to extract the sound, your soundbar should have an HDMI input port. If your soundbar doesnt have an HDMI input port then this product will not work for your requirements & wont be able to extract the sound.

No, this product doesn't support the feature of downscaling or upscaling the audio signals. Whatever the audio signals that you're inputting, you will get that audio signal as an output.
