Crash Bandicoot XS  is the first handheld entry in the series, released for the Game Boy Advance in March 2002. The "XS" stands for "Xtra Small," a reference to the game's plot where the Earth is shrunken to the size of a grapefruit. 

Game Description & Story

In a bid for world domination, the nefarious Dr. Neo Cortex uses his "Planetary Minimizer" to shrink the entire Earth. To save the planet, Crash must gather 20 Crystals across various locations to power a device built by his sister, Coco, that can reverse the effects.
