ION Heart: Pilot’s Handbook is a lo-fi solo tabletop RPG about exploring the stars alongside your mech—your companion, your home, and possibly your best friend. Set in the peaceful galaxy of the Astral Union, the game invites you to slow down, build your own worlds, and follow a personal journey through space.
In ION Heart, your mech isn’t just a machine. It’s lived many lives before meeting you. Maybe it once served as a weapon of war, maybe it performed in a circus, or maybe it wandered the galaxy searching for something more. As the newest pilot, your role is to bond with your mech and discover where the two of you truly belong among the stars.
Designed for solo play, the game encourages creativity, reflection, and gentle exploration. You’ll create planets, settlements, and cultures as you travel through the Astral Union, shaping a unique galaxy through your choices and the stories that unfold.

Create and customize your mech companion, generate planets and settlements, explore narrative “Story Circuits,” and upgrade your mech for whatever path you choose—whether that means peaceful discovery or the occasional interstellar conflict.
