Gym Leaders also scale according to your badge progress and can be challenged again, making the adventure much more dynamic than the original Pokémon Crystal.
Fast travel options, redesigned routes, fewer HM restrictions, and numerous map changes make exploring the world easier and more enjoyable.
⭐ What's New in Version 2.6.0?
Version 2.6.0 is a refinement-focused update that introduces several welcome improvements while adding new music and a completely reworked TM Shop.
Reworked TM Shop:
The TM Shop has received a major interface overhaul. Individual TMs are now unlocked when you obtain them elsewhere in the overworld, meaning you can purchase additional copies without having to wait for a particular badge requirement. The new interface also makes it much easier to see which TMs are available. Thief is now among the initially available TMs as well.
New & Improved Music:
Version 2.6.0 adds new music variants created by CosmicAngel, including revamped versions of the Ho-Oh battle theme and X/Y Gym Leader theme. A new Area Zero Battle option has also been added for wild Pokémon encounters. Some existing tracks were optimized or remade to improve their quality while using less space.
Gameplay Tweaks:
Nuzlocke mode receives an improvement that allows trade evolutions to work without requiring held items when the Disable Held Items option is active.
Bug Fixes & Polish:
The update also addresses a variety of smaller issues, including New Game+ nickname palettes, the Legality Fixer, Oak's Lab text, follower interactions, Nuzlocke item restoration, map footprints, the Goldenrod Café follower scene, and follower pathfinding.

Crystal Clear goes well beyond simply opening up the original Pokémon Crystal map. You can customize your adventure in numerous ways, including choosing from 30 different starter Pokémon, selecting your starting location, decorating your residence, and even having your Pokémon follow you around the world. All 251 Pokémon have unique follower sprites and species-specific interactions.
The game also retains compatibility with the classic Generation II experience, rather than introducing mechanics that would break trading, link battles, or Pokémon Stadium 2 compatibility.
