Purple Rain - 40th Anniversary Edition Steelbook (4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray)

For the 40th Anniversary of Purple Rain, the film has been fully restored from an 8K scan of the 35mm Original Camera Negative (OCN) and reframed to the original theatrical 1.85:1 aspect ratio for the most authentic home presentation to date. The image is newly graded in HDR, and the audio has been rebuilt from original Dolby Stereo (LCRS) 35mm magnetic elements (separate dialogue, music, and effects tracks), combined with the 20th anniversary 5.1 print master to create a newly remastered 5.1 presentation.

This anniversary release also includes an extensive set of bonus features spanning commentaries, behind-the-scenes content, and a major lineup of music videos.
