Sonic Advance 2 is a 2002 high-speed 2D platformer developed by Dimps and published by Sega for the Game Boy Advance (GBA). As the sequel to the original Sonic Advance, it features a significantly faster pace, larger levels, and the debut of Cream the Rabbit.

Key Features & Gameplay

• Blazing Speed: The game introduces Boost Mode, allowing characters to reach incredible speeds after running continuously for a short period.
• Expanded Playable Roster: You can play as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Cream the Rabbit (with her Chao, Cheese), and eventually an unlockable Amy Rose.
• Massive Levels: Zones are roughly six times larger than those in the first game and include diverse environments like Leaf Forest, Music Plant, and Ice Paradise.
• Dynamic Boss Fights: Most boss battles take place while running to the right, requiring players to attack Dr. Eggman’s machines while maintaining momentum.
• Special Stages: Players must collect seven Special Rings within a single life in a level to access 3D special stages and earn Chaos Emeralds.

Content & Modes

• Story Mode: Thwart Dr. Eggman's plan to build an empire by rescuing Sonic's friends and recovering the Chaos Emeralds.
• Tiny Chao Garden: A standalone minigame where you can raise, feed, and play with a Chao. It can also link to the GameCube versions of Sonic Adventure for data transfer.
• Multiplayer: Supports up to four players for racing or ring-collecting competitions via the GBA Link Cable.
• Time Attack: A mode dedicated to beating personal records on previously cleared acts.
