Waluigi's Taco Stand is a fan-made ROM hack of Super Mario 64 created by Kaze Emanuar and released in August 2018. Originally based on a long-standing internet meme, it reimagines the N64 classic as a culinary quest starring Waluigi. 

Game Premise and Story

• The Debt: After losing all his money at a casino, Waluigi must pay rent to his landlord, Mr. Rent (a Koopa Troopa).
• The Job: To settle his debts, Waluigi takes a job running a taco stand in the Mushroom Kingdom.
• The Goal: Serve variety of residents and complete orders to earn the money needed for rent. 

Gameplay Mechanics

The game blends traditional Super Mario 64 platforming with "fetch quest" restaurant management. 

• Taking Orders: Customers approach the stand and request tacos with specific ingredients.
• Ingredient Hunting: Waluigi must travel to "Taco Fields" to collect items like beef (Goombas), lettuce, or spicy sauce.
• Platforming: To reach rare ingredients, players must navigate custom-designed levels that utilize Mario 64 assets, such as using the Wing Cap or riding on "metallic Dorrie" through lava.
• Serving: Once all ingredients are gathered, Waluigi returns to the stand to serve the customer and advance his "taco rank".
